We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Quality Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality management while learning from seasoned professionals in the field. The Trainee Quality Manager will undergo comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in a quality management role.
Your Responsibilities
- Learn and understand quality management principles, practices, and standards.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and systems.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to track quality metrics and trends.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to quality management.
- Support the QHSE Manager in various tasks and projects as needed
Your Experience:
- Machinist Trade Certificate or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy or Metrologist
- Good organisation skill sets which have exceptionally high attention to detail
- Technical reporting writing skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in the continuous improvement of Quality Management, Safety and Environmental Systems including, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025 & ISO 27001
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques and the implementation of effective Error Proofing / Corrective Action initiatives.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Previous experience in manufacturing (desirable)
- Auditor knowledge and experience (desirable)
- Excellent verbal communication skills with strong English
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications
