ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Training Manager – Operations you will work with the Operations Leadership team to identify the operational training needs and requirements of the Scape Operations department (including customer experience, facilities, events, cleaning, and catering team members). You will be responsible for designing and/or coordinating training and the ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of that training to ensure all team members are confidently and capably able to meet the operational requirements of their roles.
This important role will not only ensure that Scape Operations team members can provide the best possible experience for our residents but will also ensure that Scape is meeting its requirements with regard to compliance, health, and safety standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is an experienced Training Manager, with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment and a passion for helping people to develop the skills and confidence to be successful in their roles. You will enjoy variety and have no qualms about rolling up your sleeves to do a good job - whether that be by contributing to a process improvement, completing an audit of our LMS to ensure records are up to date, delivering training, or sitting with a team member to assess their competence carrying out an important task. Strong systems experience, coaching and influencing skills, and an ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds are essential.
We are also looking for candidates with:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Experience with managing LMS (learning management systems) and content development systems eg, Articulate, Easygenerator, Absorb etc
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced presentation skills
- Familiar with various training tools, systems, and models
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong understanding of learning styles
