The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is responsible for intensive care medicine specialist training and education in Australia & New Zealand. With over 1400 members, and several hundred in training, we strive to support the capability of our membership to deliver critical care to their intensive care patients.
Our Training Officer is responsible for both general trainee administrative support and specific administrative support for withdrawing trainees, admissions to Fellowship, the Transition Year, plus supporting the functions of the Trainee Committee. Day to day you will be responsible for:
- Organisation and administration for the Trainee Committee, including agendas, minutes, following up actions plus venue and travel arrangements for attendees.
- Actioning and responding to training enquiries via phone and online.
- Completing appropriate internal processes to action trainee enquiries.
- Assist with administration of annual trainee member fees including drafting communications.
- Providing administrative support to hospital units seeking prospective approval of Transition Year roles.
- Administration for trainees to enable them to be admitted to Fellowship, including creating files, checking eligibility, preparing admission documents and applications ready for approval by the Fellowship Committee.
- Reporting to senior management and the Board.
- Maintaining website content for trainees.
You will bring to this role:
- Customer service and administration experience in a professional setting.
- The ability to learn indepth policies and procedures and be able to communicate with our our trainees on these.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong attention to detail in all work tasks
- The ability to work well in a team service environment.
