About the role:
JBS has the opportunity to join our dynamic Brooklyn Training team as Trainer/Tutor in our Cold Store Facility. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about training and development. The successful person will be responsible for on the job training and assessing of new and existing employees and continuous upskilling for the Cold store.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Receive new starters and ensure they are inducted into their new position
- Upskilling and training existing employees
- Ensure that training is aligned with JBS Pillars to achieve all business goals
- Administration requirements
- Provide one on one tuition and regular checks on new employees and existing
About you:
- Confident to coach new employees on various tasks in the Cold Store environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with language restrictions to ensure transfer of knowledge to all employees are effective and efficient
- Skills and experience to make sound judgements of trainee’s ability to adequately complete their task
- Manage a task rotation program to ensure trainees are competent at all required tasks before signing off
- The ability to work flexibly and proactively in a team environment with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to identify potential employees for on-going up skilling and refresher training
- Forklift licence would be advantageous.
- Cold store and logistics experience
- Ability to be creative and bring innovative ideas to the table which will help reduces job repetition and potential injuries
