A strategy has been developed and endorsed by the Board and covers 20+ initiatives across propositions; platforms, policies, and processes; partnerships; and people, that will define and build the future of the Commercial Bank.
The Transformation Delivery Lead role, which sits within the Transformation Management Office (TMO), is critical to making this happen and will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of the streams of work underpinning the Commercial Strategy. Working with a small, talented team this role is responsible for establishing and maintaining clear and robust initiative structures, processes, and standards to help drive effective delivery of a complex interrelated range of initiatives. The role will also require the ability to consider the impact of - and coordinate – these complex range of initiatives, managing and communicating with Initiative Leads and ANZ Executives.

What will your day look like
The role is accountable for, but will not be limited to:
- Leading a small team of project management / delivery governance specialists
- Owning and continuously improving the Commercial portfolio delivery governance model, including supporting processes, decision rights and templates, to help drive consistency and quality in delivery
- Coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned to correct governance structures, forums and approvals
- Coordinating with initiatives to ensure they comply with ANZ Group policies, frameworks, processes, and standards as they relate to project delivery
- Providing central oversight of functional portfolio activities to address shared opportunities, prioritise business needs and plan for upcoming changes
- Monitoring and reporting on portfolio performance ensuring effective and transparent reporting to keep all stakeholders informed. This includes the collation of data and preparation of Portfolio Delivery Governance Forum packs (including supporting materials), as well as chairing Portfolio Delivery Governance Forums
- Identifying and collating portfolio level initiative delivery insights and lessons learnt
- Supporting the IMDO through the meeting of quality standards as set by the delivery framework
- Maintaining the functional portfolio roadmap and plans including dependencies between both portfolios and stakeholders
- Working with senior stakeholders to resolve challenges or conflicts regarding dependencies, timeframes or prioritisation of initiatives
- Supporting the General Manager Strategy and Transformation for ad-hoc requests to assist in decision-making and execution consistency
- Providing support and input into Initiative Leads to help drive an uplift in delivery capabilities. This may include providing training, coaching and best practice principles across project and program management
- Proactively collating and reviewing risks and issues spanning the initiatives (especially Extreme/High risks) and cascade up to Portfolio Delivery Governance Forums, ensuring well-managed reporting of materials Risks/Issues
- Governing the use of mandatory tools for reporting on initiative performance (e.g. PPM). This includes providing training and going support to initiatives
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstrable Delivery Management experience
Experience in delivering large scale programs, portfolio management or other similarly complex operations
Extensive understanding and demonstrated experience in initiative governance principles, methods, processes and techniques and necessary standards to deliver programs of work in a large enterprise
Project Management & Governance experience
Extensive knowledge of project management principles, project finance processes, risk and project management quality standards
Working knowledge and experience of various project methodologies and systems i.e. Agile, ANZ Delivery Framework; in particular, a good working knowledge and experience in ARIBA and PPM
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication skills
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the Enterprise and describe and present a strategic vision and plan holistically
Strong influencing skills and experience managing differing views at senior levels
Strong leadership and experience leading teams to deliver on outcomes
Excellent relationship management skills, ability to partner across the Division and leverage relationships to achieve outcomes
