About the role
We are currently looking for a Transport Dispatch Coordinator to join the team on a 10 month Fixed Term Contract where you will assist with coordinating day to day logistics activities for our inbound and outbound transport programs.
The role will be mainly based at our Burnley Support Office, however, may also work from time to time at our Laverton North Fulfillment Centre (approximately once a month). Availability to work weekdays, evenings and also weekends is required, with shift times spread across 6am-8pm.
What's involved:
- Ensure all deliveries for customers arrive on time
- Route and allocate delivery runs for drivers
- Provide track & trace information to customers
- Provide customer service updates to customers, stores and delivery drivers
- Problem solve and provide advice and support to delivery drivers when they arise
- Manage, monitor and escalate fatigue and speeds events
Who we're looking for
You will have great organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and effectively manage your work tasks. You will be passionate about customer service and delivering great results to the business through effective transport allocation across our network. You’ll thrive working in a busy and dynamic team environment.
You'll need:
- Previous experience working as a transport allocator/scheduler is highly desirable – but we are also happy to train someone who is keen and motivated to learn in this space!
- Previous experience working in a customer facing environment with distribution through to stores is highly regarded
- Currently studying (or have recently completed) a qualification in supply chain, logistics is highly desirable
- Sound computer skills and good time management
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills
