CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and allocate all deliveries.
- Be able to manage same day live system and make changes if required.
- Be able to allocate next day deliveries in a timely manner.
- Plan best routes to maximise the capacity of yard truck fleet.
- To assess job allocations and allocate to appropriate truck in the fleet.
- Making changes to delivery times as required.
- Allocate and maintain stock for incoming goods when required.
- Checking outgoing deliveries when required.
- Maintain an excellent customer service focus to ensure the customer centricity objectives of the business are maintained. This includes meeting supplier appointments and timeslots for customer or supplier deliveries.
- Communicate with customers on any delays in delivery or changes to delivery.
- Respond to emails in a timely manner.
- Interact and build rapport with drivers.
- Coordinate and plan truck fleet resources
- Develop an understanding of NHVR Legislation
- Respond to customer enquiries on estimated time of arrival (ETA)
- Work closely with Customer Service regarding any Customer complaints surrounding delivery or quality of product.
- Provide support to Customer Service area (serving) as required.
- Keep office in a neat and tidy manner.
- Being prepared to work on a weekend if required.
ABOUT YOU
- At least one year of dispatch experience
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Be able to manage a fast-paced environment that can sometimes be stressful.
- Good understanding of computer systems
- Able to work in a team and build relationships.
- Being self-motivated while having excellent communication, organisation & interpersonal skills.
