About the Role 

The Transport Manager oversees the daily operations of the Transport Service team, ensuring a top-notch and streamlined transport service, a motivated and productive team, precise reporting, and ongoing enhancements to quality control systems. This role entails managing operational aspects of government funding, monthly reporting, monitoring program profitability monthly, as well as ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective staff management for both the administrative team and drivers.

This role is a full-time 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. 

Your role will include

• Provide proactive supervision and support to your team
• Develop, review and implement training resources for the provision of care services
• Actively support to develop and implement operational initiatives across the team
• Manage workforce planning by foreseeing and acting upon staff resourcing needs
• Tracking service delivery targets and implementing strategies to ensure they are met
• Overseeing the operational performance including delivery integrity and budgets
• Resolving issues concerning transportation, systems, or customer incidents
• Ensuring adherence to relevant safety and transport guidelines as set out by TMR Qld
• Keep abreast of, & communicate relevant regulations, legislation, & funding information
• Identify and implement opportunities for new funding and income streams
• Conduct quality assurance audits of client service, data integrity and KPI achievement

Skills & experience

• Qualifications in Transport and Logistics, or related field will be highly regarded
• Experience working with Orcoda will be highly regarded
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role
• Strategic and business centric approach to member & community services
• An ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced operational environment
• Experience managing and leading a team
• Adaptable and flexible to reactive and challenging situations
• Supportive team player
