About the Opportunity:
Barminco is currently seeking an experienced Transport Officer to join our Head Office in Hazelmere for an immediate start. This is a permanent, full-time position working 7am to 4pm. Reporting to the Transport Superintendent you will support the team with loading and unloading of general freight in accordance with company policies & procedures and adhering to all EHS&T guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and load freight onto vehicles as required, including safe operation of Forklift
- Manually load transport containers with freight using safe manual handling techniques
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Skills, experience & Attributes:
- Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry
- Essential - hold a valid forklift ticket
- Working knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility
- Demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviors
- A positive attitude toward work and is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills
