The opportunity
We are looking for an Underground Production Engineer to join our client, on their gold production site. This is a site-based role (FIFO), in New Zealand, with travels and accommodation being covered. The roster is not yet determined.
What the role entails
- Completion of drilling plans
- Preparation of short-term schedules
- Adhere to Project Operation Safety Plan
- QA/QC duties to ensure safety and productivity of drill and blast activities underground
- Highlight key activities and critical path processes of budgets, forecasts and weekly plans.
- Track operational performance of key indicators and report to management
- Perform other duties as directed
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering (mining preferred)
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in an Underground hard rock mine
- At least 3 years of experience
