About the Role
This exciting role & opportunity exists at Australia’s largest small stock processing plant located in Tamworth, Australia’s country music capital & the heart of the New England. This pivotal role of a Utility & Process Services Leader is responsible for overseeing the management & operation of utility systems & Process Services within a industrial plant to ensure reliability of utility services such as steam, water, gas, electricity & other essential Process Services. This role requires a strong understanding of utility systems, process engineering, project management & regulatory compliance.

- Utility System Management:
- Develop strategies & plans fort operation of utility systems, reliable supply of utilities to support plant operations.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, & troubleshooting of utility systems, including boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, & distribution networks.
- Process Service Management:
- Manage the provision of critical Process Services such as steam, water, wastewater, air, gas, & other utilities required for manufacturing or operational processes.
- Collaborate with process engineering teams to understand the specific requirements of process & ensure the reliable delivery of services.
- Project Management:
- Lead Utility & Process service-related projects, upgrades, expansions, & installations of new equipment or systems.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, & schedules & project milestones.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Leadership & guidance to utility operators, technicians & engineers.
- Foster / collaborative of high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, & continuous improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Utility & Process service operations & identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement reliability-centered maintenance practices to optimise the utility systems.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bach degree Chem Eng, Mech Eng /or related field, in-depth industry exp.
- Experience utility system management, process engineering. Knowledge of of boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, & distribution networks. Understanding of waste water systems, storage & treatment.
- Pocess services; steam, water treatment, air compression & gas systems.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies & tools.
- Regulatory requirements & safety for utility standards
- Leadership & team management skills, analytical & problem-solving
- Communication & interpersonal skills, collaboratively cross-functional teams & stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement methodologies; ie Lean or Six Sigma
- 3-5 years’ exp in a similar role Mechanical/Electrical Trade minimum
