Pyrmont’s Neighbourhood Wine Bar.
Housed in a former 19th Century wool store fronting Murray Street, Mister Percy is an ode to the wool-classer who etched his name into the venue’s historic sandstone bricks. A gentleman who was not averse to a glass (or few) of wine. Pyrmont’s neighbourhood wine bar, Mister Percy, is serving up a sultry selection of palette-pleasing pours from within the historic heart of Pyrmont. Paired perfectly with a wholly Spanish-inspired, produce-led menu, Mister Percy’s low-lit lounge is filled with warmth.
The Gig
We are on the lookout for an incredibly talented Venue Manager who will drive and mentor an already exceptional team. You will be able to influence and motivate the team and ensure our guests receive a memorable, world class experience. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for looking after the hotel's food and beverage component, ensuring operational needs and requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Leading from the front, ensuring your team understand what exceptional looks like everyday
  • Up-skilling and developing each team member specifically around premium product knowledge and service standards
  • Accountability for day to day operations and business performance
  • Ensuring each and every guest has a seamless and entertaining experience in our venue
  • Finding growth opportunities, activation and delivery
  • Effective financial management around Cost of Goods Sale, sales budgets and profits
  • Effective stock management, quality improvement and reporting
  • Leading a large team of passionate individuals to ensure that they are consistently delivering an exceptional experience to our guests;
  • Maintaining a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, ensuring our venue is always immaculate;
  • Ensuring that our focus is always on the guest and their experience;
  • Managing strong financial controls as well as initiating and executing growth strategies to increase top line sales.
  • Monitor service standards and procedures followed by team members and take action where standards not achieved including informal and formal performance management processes
  • Proactively drive team morale and promote a productive and enjoyable team culture and environment
  • Make decisions and take appropriate action in regards to problems or conflicts between team members
  • Ensure optimum efficiency and achievement by focusing on business needs, setting priorities and maximising productivity and development of strategic organization goals that pertain to hotel and F&B operational performance and achieve business goals
  • Implement and monitor feedback mechanisms to improve operations and the service culture
About you

You will have extensive knowledge in all things food and beverage of which you will be able to pass on to your team and therefore pass on to our guests!
