THE ROLE
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events including, conferences, seminars, private dining experiences, and social gatherings,
- Manage event budgets, and ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage and execute customised proposals,
- Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure their expectations are exceeded,
- Conduct pre-event site inspection to ensure quality client experience,
- Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including coordinating with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure successful events,
- Provide on-site supervision and execution of events,
- Manage any variations, and address challenges promptly to ensure the event runs smoothly.
THE APPLICANT
The successful candidate must have at least two years of experience in event planning and management and a comprehensive understanding of banquet operations. The following attributes are also essential:
• Hold a Tertiary level degree (desirable) or equivalent training in event management
• Ability to demonstrate success in the management of events/conferences
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
• Strong customer focus and relationship experience
• Ability to manage a large, varied workload and look after multiple projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
