The Cultural Services department includes Galleries, Heritage and Museums, Libraries, and Cultural Activation, and the team provide engaging leisure and learning experiences by connecting people to resources and each other. We strive for excellence when delivering exhibitions, information, collections, programs and spaces for our community and visitors. Our department employs approximately 220 staff over 16 venues throughout the region.
We have exciting and rewarding part time opportunity for a Venue Support Officer to join our museum team at the Redcliffe Museum! The Redcliffe Museum offers a unique and contemporary look at the people, places, significant moments and stories that have shaped this historical seaside town.
As a Venue Support Officer you'll be the first point of contact for our visitors and responsible for providing them with memorable and positive experience.
You'll use your exceptional customer service skills to invite, engage and connect our visitors to our exhibitions, you'll also be delivering and supporting museum programs and events as well as supporting the operations of the museum to make it a welcoming, safe and clean environment. Team members assist with the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, and actively contribute to a positive team environment.
You'll be rostered for 39 hours and 15 minutes, over 7 shifts each fortnight, including weekends, .
About you
Bring your love of face to face customer service in a fast-paced environment and experience within cultural services or at a cultural facility or venue including museums, galleries and libraries.
Share your natural curiosity and intuition that lets you build relationships with a diverse audience, and your respectful and friendly work style that allows you to work autonomously and also thrive a collaborative team.
