The role
The Venues and Events Officer provide support to enable successful delivery of assigned Council run or supported events and day to day operations in Council managed venues through:
- liaising with and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to assist with the delivery of safe and successful events within the Mount Alexander Shire.
- managing venue and event bookings effectively and maintaining accurate records of bookings, permits, confirmations and cancellations.
- assisting in the delivery and reporting of the events grants process.
- assisting in the assessment and processing of film and tv permits in the Shire.
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- relevant experience and/or qualifications in event and venue management
- Experience in the administration or coordination of events
- Excellent communication skills to work with a wide range of people and community groups
- Ability to multi task and work to deadlines
