What you'll be doing
Operationally coordinates Voluntary Assisted Dying services across the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD), ensuring patient enquiries and referrals are received and services case managed as driven by the patient. The Voluntary Assisted Dying Coordinator works across a disperse geographical area, with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating partnerships, ensuring equity of service for all patients and well-coordinated person-centred end of life workflows.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline and or demonstrated experience in the delivery of end of life care services in the admitted and or community environment, clinical ethics, governance, risk management and patient safety.
- Demonstrated experience of working in admitted and or community settings and knowledge of end of life options and person-centered care.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results.
- Proven interpersonal, engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills with the capability to build, maintain and draw upon relationships with clinicians, customers and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated IT skills, including electronic medical records, database management and analysis.
- Sound analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deliver oral presentations, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' license and the ability to maintain with the ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
