Key Role Description: - The overall function of this important role consists of machine operating, forklift high & low, packing experience on Pro - Pac machine or similar packing machine. As Black Drum is a small organisation, all employees are expected to be flexible in their roles to assist one another in achieving the end goal.
Industry Specific Knowledge that will Enhance the Role: - Machinery Management, Forklift Driving, Production line & Workplace Space.
· Assist Packaging and Logistics Manager with receipt and storing finished goods in designated areas as per specified by Packaging and Logistics Manager.
· Picking, packing and dispatch of goods working with the Customer Service and Orders Executive to achieve QA and standard of excellence for Black Drum Roasters
· Perform varied production duties as required such as packing, dispatch, forklift operation and palletising
· Assist in the management of product quality through monitoring of the packing process and machine efficiency
· Proactively assist others the need arises.
· Setting of machines including pre made bags and form filling; process packaging lines, pneumatics, electronic controllers, switches and instrumentation.
· Daily hands-on support of machine operators in varied production settings
· Assisting on production floor equipment and coffee production
· Pack product for each blend and bag type according to Black Drum standards
· Raise any maintenance and machinery issues with the Packaging and Logistics Manager.
· Ensure CAYG (Clean as you go) in your work area and facility is kept in a clean and tidy condition
· Ensure all workspaces where tasks for this role are performed are clean and free from hazards
· Report on all workplace safety incidences and ensure it is in the critical incidence register
Hours : On premise Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm
