If so, you may be the person that we are looking for to help us manage our warehouse, drive excellent service delivery to our existing distribution customer base and help build new business throughout QLD.
Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be integral in expertly managing all aspects of storage, pick and pack, receivals of containers, and dispatch. You will work closely with the QLD sales team in delivering excellent service to our customers . You will be responsible for creating and implementing systems and processes and managing staff. By doing this you will drive best practice and continuous improvement to maximise efficiencies and maintain operational performance and workplace safety.
We are seeking a driven, practical 'hands-on' person with a 'can-do' attitude who can manage multiple concurrent responsibilities. By doing this you will be rewarded with a strong remuneration package.
Ultimately, success in the role will be demonstrated by your ability to expertly manage the warehouse in an efficient, safe and controlled manner whilst delivering a high level of customer service within the distribution network in the QLD marketplace.
The key responsibilities of the role will be as follows:
- Manage and oversee all daily warehouse operations
- Operate and maintain warehouse machinery
- Pick & Pack orders
- Stringent Inventory control
- Implement, manage and refine systems and processes within the warehouse
- Minimise damages and dispatch errors through high levels of quality control
- Co-ordinate, train and manage warehouse staff
- Provide regular reporting to head office
- Create and manage a safe working environment for all team members
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- A track record of warehouse management success in a relevant environment
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills
- Good problem-solving capability
- Experience with using a WMS software (Warehouse Management System)
- Solid experience in forklift operation and current Forklift licence
- Fast learner, and adaptable with a hands-on mindset
