About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, extremely organised and highly motivated individual to join our team at our Perth facility based in Osborne Park. Currently reporting to the General Manager in Sydney you will be accountable for the day-to-day management and operation of the warehouse. Your main focus is to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, achieved through on time deliveries and that our warehouse operates efficiently, effectively and safely.
Ideally, you will have experience in tyres and wheels and a passion for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organise work activities in the warehouse and assign jobs accordingly for store persons and drivers
- Control and oversee dispatch of all YHI products i.e. on time delivery of goods either by YHI or by external courier companies
- Manage stock control, including stock receipts and dispatches, timely delivery of goods, shipment loading and unloading using safe work methods
- Document and data record in ERP system (SAP)
- Maintain delivery vehicle fleet: Services, tyres, roadworthiness, windscreens etc. Ensure completion of daily inspections
- Ensure effective and safe use of all warehouse equipment, actioning repairs and oversee general maintenance as needed. Perform regular safety checks on equipment and procedures and run regular toolbox meetings to help improve the workplace environment and discuss safety concerns
- Ensure all returns paperwork is completed correctly and check all stock in and out of warehouse
- Plan and execute periodical stocktake in conjunction with Sydney Head Office
- Compliance with, and implementation of, WHS policies and procedures, ensuring all staff comply
- Participation in identifying improvements to Work, Health and Safety
About You
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Warehouse management experience in a similar role within the tyres and wheels (automotive) industry
- Sound knowledge of motor vehicle makes, models and popular accessories
- Proven ability to engage customers and build meaningful relationships
- Excellent time management skills
- Current driver’s licence is a must (preferably MR)
- Current forklift licence (LF) and order picker licence (LO) are essential
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software (SAP will be highly regarded)

- Ability to implement process improvement initiatives

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
- A sense of pride in your work and abilities
- A Certificate in Warehouse Management will be highly regarded
For this, we offer a competitive annual base salary + superannuation. Remuneration is dependent on experience.
Remuneration is commensurate on experience and licencing.
