As a Web Hosting Support Officer at Perth Web Hosting, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of managing customer accounts. This includes managing customer websites and email accounts. You will work closely with customers to address and resolve technical support tickets through phone and email.
We are looking for a candidate with fully unrestricted Australian working rights who lives in the Perth area and can travel to our office. This is a MUST, and we will not be reviewing applications without it.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers with website hosting, email-related concerns, and account management.
- Respond to customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Document customer interactions, issues, and solutions in our support system and knowledge base.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality support services.
Requirements
- Lives close to the Perth CBD.
- Education qualification in a related field.
- At least two years in a technical support role, preferably in Web Hosting or a related field.
- Experience using the Linux OS and hosting platforms, including cPanel/WHM and Plesk.
- Experience with Windows, Linux or Mac OS
- Experience working with the Microsoft 365 Product Range.
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Extra consideration will be given to the candidates who know the following areas (but this is not a must):
- Content Management Systems (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Concrete 5 etc...)
- Understanding of the Australian Domain Name Requirements
- Email Protocols (IMAP/POP3/ Exchange)
- Basic HTML, jQuery, PHP programming language
- VMWare (ESXI)
- Backup systems (such as JetBackups and Veeam) - including recovery
