Wedding and Events Manager

Nestled in the heart of the Barossa Valley, Kingsford the Barossa is renowned for creating unforgettable experiences. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Wedding and Events Managerto lead and drive our Weddings and Events business. 

You will be responsible for orchestrating weddings and Events from the initial inquiry through to the day of the event. This role requires a passion for creating memorable moments, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to deliver both tailored and impeccable service. 

Tucked away and only 45 minutes from the bustling city centre of Adelaide, this iconic property is set on 225-acres. On the edge of the breathtaking wine country of South Australia and once home to a wealthy nineteenth-century pastoralist, nothing rivals the exclusive access to our 16-suite retreat. The property has recently re-opened after a two year, multi-million dollar redevelopment. The homestead is now complemented by an impressive new lodge, designed to give guests a taste of the best the Barossa can offer, such as fine wine, artisan-grown produce and good times shared. 

• Be part of a new and exciting hotel brand, set to bring to life an exquisite haven meticulously crafted for gatherings of friends, families and colleagues;
• Handle initial inquiries and consultations, building strong relationships with clients to understand their vision and requirements including site visits;
• Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets - coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless execution;
• Assist clients in selecting themes, décor, menus, and entertainment that align with their vision and the hotel's standards;
• Lead by example to ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations;
• Address any issues or changes that arise promptly and efficiently, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor;
• Be a key member of the management team and work closely with the General Manager to ensure the overall success of your team and the hotel.

• Proven experience as a Wedding and Events Manager in a luxury setting;
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail;
• Creative flair with a strong eye for design and aesthetics;
• Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours if needed.
