Joondalup Resort is a complete leisure, corporate and tourism venue in the northern suburbs of Perth, with award winning facilities both on and off the golf course.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wedding and Special Events Sales Executive to join our team for a period of maternity leave cover. You will be provided with a full handover from the existing Wedding Sales Executive, with very clearly defined position responsibilities.
THE ROLE
Reporting into the Resort Sales and Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for the client relationship management, planning and sales requirements for weddings.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide proposals for each Wedding and Special Events
- Conducting sales calls, face to face meetings, site tours and any other sales activities as required to promote Joondalup Resort
- Create sales strategies and planning that result in meeting business unit financial targets
- Complete 6 monthly competitor analysis of wedding, celebrations, and Special event offerings
- Measure sales activity through conversion rates, sales pipelines, site inspection numbers, and proposal trackers
- Hand over won wedding business proposals and liaise with the wedding coordinator for the execution and event order creation
- Complete detailed event run sheets for all special event business
- First point of contact for all Wedding and Special event enquiries
- Ensure wedding, celebration, and Special event kits are up to date and evaluated annually at a minimum.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring to our team:
- at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar size hospitality property
- knowledge and understanding of event systems and software (full training to be provided for our software)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (words, excel)
