Wedding & Events Sales Executive

Wedding & Events Sales Executive permanent role for a Venue in Melbourne on a salary of $75k - $85k plus super.

The Company:
This world-class venue located in Carlton are dedicated to creating magical events for their clients. This venue is steeped in over 140 years of historical significance and has been an integral part of the Melbourne event scene for almost 50 years. They are looking for a Wedding & Events Sales Executive to join their tight-knit team.
The Role:
The Wedding & Events Sales Executive will report to the Sales & Marketing Manager. The Wedding & Events Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing new business through the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives across wedding and corporate/social markets.
Key Responsibilities include;

• Create and implement business plans and strategies to reach and exceed targets while maximising occupancy and revenue
• Liaise with clients to arrange new site inspections to reach targets
• Use creative flair to increase sales and achieve monthly targets
• Seek out new business in the bridal, corporate and social markets
• Create, build and develop relationships with new clients
• Manage existing client database and further develop strong relationships to grow business and generate referrals
• Ensure operations and venue will meet customer expectations
• Provide accurate reporting figures and event data as required
• Ensure the safety of guests, staff, and business equipment by adhering to OH&S laws

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Venue as a Sales Coordinator or Sales Executive. Experience selling weddings is highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships is required for this role.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Ability to work 9am-5pm Tuesday - Saturday, with occasional late evenings and Sunday's
