YOUR NEW ROLE
The Wellbeing and Injury Management Advisor is part of the Safety Team which is a multi-disciplinary team that works together to inspire and assist the organisation achieve a safe workplace and healthy, engaged employees. The role is responsible for the research, coordination, promotion and implementation of health and wellbeing programs under the guidance of the Injury Management and Wellbeing Manager.
This is a newly created role that will partner closely with the Injury Management and Wellbeing Manager and will primarily focus on the delivery of the wellbeing strategy, workers compensation and early intervention programs
Health and wellness programs include but not limited to; psychosocial and mental health, physical fitness programs, health checks and education and other initiatives that improve and support the health and wellbeing of workers.
The role will also support Injury Management services for employees with work related and non-work related injuries with the goal achieving a timely, efficient and sustainable return to work. The position holder must ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements and Sydney Opera House Policies and Procedures with respect to Injury Management and return to work for injured employees and health and wellness programs

Key Responsibilities/skills:
· Design and support existing and newly created wellbeing programs and initiatives that align with Opera House workforce and risk profile.
· Develop health and wellbeing programs and provide a personalised and risk management approach to support workers to take care of their own health.
· Develop, maintain, and support effective partnerships by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to increase the quality and effectiveness of Wellbeing and support services promotion initiatives and activities
· Support the Injury Management and Wellbeing Consultant in developing and maintaining Injury Management and health and wellbeing policies and procedures and associated documentation such as fact sheets and physical job descriptions
· Support Injury Management/wellbeing related projects such as manual handling training, supervisor return to work training.
· Promoting, driving and managing safe and proactive recovery at work for injured employees, including liaison with all stakeholders
