Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated WHS Coordinator to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at our Virginia site located in South Australia, the role will also require weekly travel to our farm site at Parilla, located in the Mallee region of SA.
Reporting to the WHS Manager, the WHS Coordinator will be responsible for general workplace health and safety oversight, collaborating with key business stakeholders to ensure all WHS practices are embedded and maintained.
Duties include:
- Creating, updating, overseeing implementation and adherence to relevant policies and procedures
- Supporting managers with understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities by interpreting legislative requirements
- Fostering a culture of compliance through clear, consistent communication, training, and development
- Consult with management teams, workers, and external resources to eliminate hazards, reduce risks, and continually improve the WHS performance.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, periodic audits, and site visits, and develop Safe Work Procedures (SWPs)
- Analyse and report on safety data to monitor and review performance against WHS KPIs and targets.
- Perform administrative management duties of various systems including Information Leader, MEX, ChemAlert.
- Assist in the purchasing, acquisition, and contractor management of WHS, Asset and Facility related projects whilst adhering to legislative and financial requirements.
- Performing Return to Work Coordinator duties to ensure timely rehabilitation of injured employees.
- Conduct drug & alcohol, Audiometric and other required testing in line with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Completion of Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
- Full unrestricted Class C driver’s license (Essential)
- 2 years Manufacturing &/or Agriculture experience (minimum)
- Return To Work Coordinator Certificate (highly regarded)
- Completion of incident investigation training (highly regarded)
- Qualifications and experience in WHS Auditing (highly regarded)
- Completion of Certificate IV Training and Assessment (highly regarded)
