Rosewood Care Group is currently looking for an experienced WHS Manager to join our team. With our main office in Mt Hawthorn, and our care facilities in Leederville and West Perth, Rosewood is an established not-for-profit organisation with attractive salary packaging available. This is a parttime position, 22.8 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours and days of work.
Reporting to the General Manager People and Culture, key responsibilities will include:
- Providing workplace health and safety advice and assistance to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative obligations.
- Responding to WHS incidents and issues in a proactive, positive and dynamic way.
- Coordinating and/or undertaking regular audits and inspections. Take a leading role with WHS investigations, and in conjunction with operational personnel, undertake hazard and risk assessments as required.
- Managing the review and continuous improvement of our WHS management systems, processes, policy and emergency response planning. Assist in the creation of SOP's and SWMS as required.
- Generating WHS reports for the governing Board and the People, Culture and Engagement Sub-Committee (compiling, analysing and reporting).
- Managing all activities associated with workplace injury management; liaising with staff, managers, treatment providers, rehabilitation providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to facilitate recovery and return to work.
- Developing content and assess effectiveness of training on Safety related topics.
- Fostering a culture of engagement and staff participation in the WHS discussion.
- Developing and delivering wellbeing and injury prevention initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum Certificate IV or higher, preferably Post Graduate qualification in WHS or similar related discipline.
- 3 years' experience in similar WHS role within the aged care sector (industry experience preferred but not essential)
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work autonomously and within a broader team, advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- The ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Maintaining best practice knowledge in WHS management, Work Cover administration and Aged Care Standards.
