Job Tasks
- Develop and implement HSE policies, plans, programs, and systems to meet organisational requirements.
- Identify and manage hazards and incidents.
- Maintain HSE metrics and data, and comply with reporting requirements.
- Design and deliver safety training, safe work procedures and risk assessments.
- Manage workers compensation, property and vehicle insurance claims including documentation and liaise with insurers and other third parties.
- Support the business for management of all injuries, claims, rehabilitation, and suitable return to work plans of all employees.
- Ensure best practice in HSE matters through inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Develop and maintain companywide policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001:2016, AS/NZS 4801:2001 and ISO 14001:2018, to ensure that all compliance needs are met.
- Conduct internal audits, facilitate external audits and document all quality assurance activities.
- Manage company document register including document protection and review.
- Ensure the business is compliant with state and national legislation.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety.
- Tertiary qualification in Security and Risk Management preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Health and Safety industry.
- Security or cleaning industry experience preferred but not essential.
- Current WA driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of Awards, Acts, Regulations and Standards relating to Health and Safety.
