About the Opportunity
Questas Group is seeking a dynamic WHS&E Business Partner to join our team in Brisbane and become a key member of the national WHS team.
The WHS&E Business Partner will work closely with the National WHS&E Manager and operational leaders across multiple businesses in the Questas Group.
You will contribute to the development and leading the implementation of the Safety (WHS) Management Strategy and System, actively coaching the businesses on how best to implement system requirements, oversee the management of Workers Compensation and Return to Work processes whilst aligning local business WHS systems with the greater Questas Group minimum WHS standards.
We are looking for someone who can develop and foster relationships from CEO to the shop floor through both face to face and remote strategies.
Your responsibilities:
- Champion the Questas Home Safely Everyday philosophy.
- Actively working with business leaders to build their knowledge and understanding of their accountabilities and system requirements.
- Monitor and report on WHS performance, proactively identifying opportunities to improve through risk reduction strategies.
- Provide functional support and guidance to managers and the leadership team on safety performance, developments, and procedural and legislative requirements.
- Manage significant incident investigation, reporting and preventative action process.
- Develop reporting and investigation culture within the group.
- Working with the nominated Return to Work Partner, oversee claims management advice to manager and facilitate the timely, safe and durable return to work of injured employees.
- Actively support the business by ensuring that appropriate risk management tools are utilized across the business.

About You
- Degree or Diploma qualifications in Workplace Health, Safety or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
- Incident Causation Analysis Model (ICAM) Training (desirable).
- Relevant industry experience within a national or multi-site setting.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth and practical working knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety management systems and standards as well as Workers Compensation principles and practices.
