Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Cruises, located on the Adelaide River just south of Darwin is looking for a Tour Guide/skipper to join our small and dedicated team. We aim to introduce our guests to the mighty saltwater crocodiles that call this wetland area home, showcasing the local area, flora and fauna. We are a progressive company, meeting high ethical standards for the interaction with animals, and inclusiveness in our guests experience
This is a full time position year round, NOT seasonal employment.
if your an enthusiastic, hands-on team player to fit into our small group. You will be working with crocodiles and tourists, so you must have confidence, a friendly personality, be willing to learn and adapt to situations in an ever-changing environment. The ability to share skills, while also able to learn from others is a must. The successful candidate will be, after a suitable training period, be capable of driving a passenger vessel up to 60 passengers, and lead our one hour tours when required. A coxswains ticket or above, or some experience in boat operations would be very desirable.
Essential Criteria

- Senior first aid - MANDATORY -
- Own reliable transport - MANDATORY-
- Experience leading and managing others
- A good knowledge of NT wildlife and ecology
- Coxswains ticket or ability to obtain
- Experience driving twin screw boats highlydesirable
- Small motor maintenance experience highlydesirable
- Experience in the tourism industry highlydesirable
- Knowledge of aboriginal culture desirable.
