The positionis for an experiencedMachinist who has worked in an industry with high volume cutting at fast pace. Requirements§ Must have at least 3 years’experience
§ Autocad certificate
General Duties§ Experienced in the followingmachines -CNC , Woodtron and Beamsaw & Panel saw
§ Check machines programmingprior to loading
§ Selecting board and ensuringthat of good quality prior cutting
§ Ensuring all boards arelabelled correctly
§ Trouble shootingproduction processes and issues
§ Implementation of production and processes improvements
§ Liaise with production supervisor re: production schedules to achieve cut target dates
§ Attend and participate in production meetingsas required
§ Ensuringarea is clean at all times
§ Editingnest in Microvellum for recuts as well as looking for better yield from sheetsfor example utilizing offcuts on hand.
OHSCompliance§ Implementingthe adaptive occupational health and safety procedures using the principles of the hierarchy of controls in all activities to minimize the risk to all personnel on site
§ Stimulation a high level of safetyawareness at all times
§ Insisting on correctand safe work practices at all times
§ Assisting in the identification and preparation of safe work procedures
§ Ensuring safe equipment and plant is provided and maintained
§ Participating in accident/incident investigations
§ Participating in safety meetingsand programs
§ Ensuring toolboxtalk forms filled
