Wood Machinist

Located in the Girraween Parramatta District, Portelli Joinery specialise in kitchen manufacturing and all joinery cabinet work. As a family owned business for over 25 years, we value a positive and supportive team environment, and have built a great reputation within the industry for delivering fine quality workmanship from architectural work to private work.

• Ability to operate Biesse CNC and Holzher edge bander
• Oversee quality assurance - eye for detail
• Ability to read shop drawings, plans and cutting lists
• Ability to operate panel saw and other wood machining equipment
• Ability to work with solid timber (preferred but not required)

• Trade qualified with Certificate III in Wood Machinist or equivalent (4th year apprentices are welcome to apply)
• Strong work ethic with a 'can do' approach
• Must be reliable, organised, honest, accountable and hardworking
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without supervision
• Drivers license (manual preferred but not essential)
• Fork Lift license (preferred but not essential)
• Must be willing to work overtime when required
• Must have experience with Biesse CNC and Holzher edge bander
