Overview The right applicant will be committed to a strategic, systematic, integrated approach to WHS and wellbeing management, and the promotion of a healthy workforce in the context of a patient care environment. ResponsibilitiesRelevant tertiary qualifications in WHS and/or equivalent professional experience in WHS or risk management in the Healthcare sector.
Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development, implementation and review of, WHS Management Systems (such WHS policies, procedures and programs) that leads to improved WHS performance of organisations. Responding effectively to WHS incidents and conducting formal investigations using a defined methodology. Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development, implementation and review of WHS training programs.
Experience in the use of incident and claims data systems to develop proposed WHS risk reduction strategies, initiatives and programs. Demonstrated experience in facilitating WHS change in a large and diverse work environment with multiple site locations. Report health and safety hazards, injuries and incidents in line with procedures.
Hold a high-level skills in active listening, negotiation, conflict resolution and other communication (oral and written). Experience Required Ability to coordinate programs and projects in a high volume work environment whilst managing competing priorities. Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
Background within Health & Safety Advisor or Consultant. Experience working within the health industry or similar. Qualification in WHS or related discipline.
