Let’s talk about this role
As the Group Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its HSW goals. This position is responsible for the management and implementation of the nib Group HSW management system (HSWMS), with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
Lead nib’s psychosocial risk identification and management processes, policies and procedures, manage incident reporting and investigation and lead workers compensation claims management (including injury and return to work case management).
This role will work closely with the People & Culture Business Partnering teams to support employee mental wellbeing and uplift leadership capability in this space. It will also manage nib’s mental wellbeing benefits, including our partnership with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Let’s talk about you
As a passionate HSW professional, you will be solutions-focused, pragmatic and resilient. Your broad exposure to health and safety implementation in a corporate environment will see you hit the ground running.
You will have proven experience in managing workers compensation claims end to end, including managing psychological injury claims and are confident in report writing and developing HSW policies and procedures.
Furthermore, we’re looking for someone with:
Relevant degree qualification in work, health and safety (or a related discipline) and equivalent industry experience
Qualified Return to Work Coordinator or higher
Advanced knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience in conducting investigations into work, health, and safety matters
Knowledge of ISO 450001 and/or ISO 450003 (desired)
Ability to travel between nib locations across Australia as required
