About the Opportunity
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced and equally passionate WHS professional to join our Workplace Relations team.
In this role you will be challenged every day to make difference and bring a contemporary lense to provide Members with practical solutions to WHS issues. This is a consultancy role where you will draw from you experience to curate and deliver quality services.
Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Liaising with members to ensure their WHS requirements are understood, and provide solutions to make their workplaces safer
- Handling of complex WHS issues and providing practical solutions
- Work towards achieving financial targets and actively attend networking events to promote services
- Preparation and facilitation of WHS training and presentations (face to face and webinars)
- Performing WHS inspections and other risk management tasks
- Undertake a high-level quality of document writing
- Provide telephone WHS and workers compensation advice
- Collaboration with co-workers and other business units across CCIWA
About you
Success in this role will come from experience as a safety professional. You will be someone with unwavering resilience and an aptitude for problem solving. In addition, you will also be an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to build rapport with all stakeholders.
Above all, you will be passionate about demonstrating and developing a safety focused culture and promoting a safe workplace.
To be considered for the role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in WHS or relevant field
- Training and Assessment qualifications or similar
- Relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated confidence and competence in delivering WHS training, webinars, workshops and conference presentations
- Robust understanding of Workplace Health and Safety and Workers Compensation legislative frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in auditing or WHS systems risk assessments
- Proven ability to build rapport and form strong networks at all levels
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to research complex issues and provide practical solutions
- Ability to accurately interpret legislation, regulation and rules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current Drivers License
- Current National Police Clearance
