Job description Contract to 30 June 2024 possible extensions Dickson location with flexible work arrangements Level: ASO 6 - SOG C Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated WHS Officer to undertake a comprehensive review of our clients' Work Health and Safety management system, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in updating policies and procedures, leading consultation efforts, and consolidating archival documentation to enhance accessibility and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Conduct a thorough compliance review of the Work Health and Safety management system, identifying and documenting any gaps or deficiencies. Review and update WHS policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and industry best practices. Lead consultation efforts with stakeholders to implement updates and improvements to the Work Health and Safety management system. Consolidate and archive defunct policies and procedures stored in SharePoint and Objective, ensuring easy accessibility and eliminating duplication. Communicate regularly with the Director of Safety and Wellbeing, providing updates on the status of work and addressing any barriers or delays. Skills Required: Excellent written communication skills, demonstrated through the creation of WHS policy and procedural documents. Strong oral communication skills, including liaison, negotiation, and representation in workplace safety matters. Experience reviewing and maintaining a Work Health and Safety management system. Proficiency in using SharePoint and Objective to manage documentation and improve accessibility.
