Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful venues - Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Planning Officer to join AVM’s Human Resources Department, located within the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The Role
Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, the Workforce Planning Officer will be responsible for creating, updating, and implementing staff rosters for AVM’s casual workforce across all venues. On a day-to-day basis, they will work with other members of the team in implementing appropriate staff par levels and cost-efficient rosters that ensure the effective delivery of all event-related services
Key Responsibilities
Creating, updating and implementing cost-effective staff rosters that ensure the effective delivery of all events and event related services.
Communicating with various Departments across all 3 AVM venues and responding to change requests in a timely manner
Communicating with staff on a daily basis to answer any queries or concerns regarding their rosters and availability.
Maintain working relationships with relevant external labour hire service providers to assist with the rostering of top-up staff during peak periods.
Maintain an active register of staff activity including cancellations / sick leave or unexplained absence in relation to the Event Staff pool.

Ability to build relationships with staff and clients
Exceptional time management skills
A positive can do attitude
Demonstrated experience in Workforce Planning, for example rostering or scheduling, with a good general understanding of industrial instruments (eg Enterprise Agreement and Award provisions).
Flexibility with hours of work as you will be required to work across days which fall in the week, and a day on the weekend.
