An opportunity exists to join our dynamic learning community and help lead Padua College's vision for the future as the Workplace Health and Safety Advisor, on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the HR, Compliance and Administration Manager, this position will coordinate the Work Health & Safety (WHS) function within the College. As a key member of the People, Culture and Compliance Team, the WHS Advisor will be responsible for proactively engaging and collaborating with managers and employees across all areas of the College to strengthen their safety awareness and/or assist with devising up pragmatic solutions to increase the effectiveness of risk controls. Providing hands-on support and guidance, the WHS Advisor will play a crucial role in fostering a robust culture of risk and compliance awareness and driving the implementation of related activities.
The successful applicant will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Workplace, Health and Safety.
- Previous experience in WHS and Compliance functions, preferably in an independent school environment.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable).
- Proven track record as a WHS and Injury Management with hands-on experience in compliance and WHS.
