About the position
The Works Coordinator – Parks schedules work activities and resources in an efficient and effective manner appropriately integrating the rolling operational and capital works program for parks and recreation assets. The Works Coordinator – Parks provides direct supervision of Works Supervisors – Parks and responsible for operational staff providing technical and professional horticultural and operational guidance.
About you
- Certificate IV qualification in horticulture or equivalent in related field.
- Substantial relevant experience in coordinating parks maintenance work teams and resources, or supervising site-based parks teams, or other appropriate, relevant experience.
- Substantial previous experience in the preparation and maintenance of relevant safe work method statements and site-based safety documentation, and in developing and maintaining traffic management plans.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, and the ability to resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated advanced competence in computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheets, and competence in the use of Microsoft Office (or equivalent) software.
- Current Class C driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in position description).
- Demonstrated Developed level key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in position description).

- Permanent full time , 38 hours per week
- Salary from $85,018 to $89,024 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 11% superannuation and access to a 9 day Fortnight system.
