Our business is experiencing phenomenal growth, and we are looking for a skilled and technically proficient Works Manager to support our operations in Western Australia. This is a hands-on role that requires substantial civil experience.
About the role
This is a busy, hands-on role where your technical expertise and experience in civil construction are highly valued. You will be based in our Perth office, and have an opportunity to assist with managing projects throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
This position would ideally suit an experienced Site Supervisor looking to progress his civil engineering career and ultimately working towards a Project Management role with training provided.
The Works Manager is primarily responsible for delivery of Works Under Contract as per project scope in accordance with all applicable Acts, Regulations and Company Policies to ensure best possible outcome for our company and its clients
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Onsite supervision of Works under Contract as required.
- Assist with training / mentoring / induction of WA Field Staff
- Onsite liaison with clients
- Ensure WHS obligations and responsibilities are being met onsite and at the workshop.
- Identify project risks onsite and liaise with Operations Manager to mitigate risk those risks
- Ensure onsite maintenance and pre start requirements of plant are being met
- Identify onsite contract variations and make recommendations to Operations Manager
- Coordination of sub contractor activities as/when required
- Ensure Supervisors are fulfilling their reporting requirements ( i.e timesheets, SWMS, Pre Starts, Daily diary)
- Liaise with Operations Manager with regards to project scoping and resources
Ideally, you will bring or have:
- Substantial civil experience. MRWA highly regarded.
- Bring the drive and determination to see a project through to completion
- Be commercially astute with demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influence
- Be an outstanding communicator who thrives in a process-driven environment
- Hold a current driver's licence and OHS Induction card
- Be willing to travel as required
