Where you'll be working
This role is based at Royal North Shore Community Health Centre and Brookvale Community Health Centre. Job Share will be considered.
MHDA Statement of IntentionThe intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.
The Team offers specialist multidisciplinary outpatient consultation, assessment, care and intervention for adolescents under the age of 18 with moderate to severe issues related to problematic substance use.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented clinician to work in the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Consultation, Assessment, Care, and Intervention for Adolescents (ACACIA) team.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Psychologists must have a three-year degree in psychology with a fourth year honours in psychology.
- Demonstrated interest in effectively managing clinical issues in the assessment and treatment of young people with drug & alcohol problems.
- Demonstrated experience, clinical expertise and knowledge in youth comprehensive psychosocial assessments, counselling and therapeutic interventions, complex clinical casework, advocacy and discharge planning.
