About the Role:
In this pivotal role, your mission is to provide compassionate care and mentorship to Children and Young People who have endured backgrounds marked by trauma, abuse, or neglect. Many of these individuals may also grapple with Mental Health challenges, physical disabilities, or psychosocial issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily routines, attending to personal care needs, preparing meals, ensuring household upkeep, organizing recreational activities, supervising homework, and offering support.
- Administering medications with precision and care.
- Safely transporting young individuals to and from school, day programs, and appointments, ensuring their well-being throughout the journey.
- Facilitating and overseeing contact visits to promote family involvement and support.
- Maintaining meticulous record-keeping and documentation standards to uphold quality service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate 3 qualification in Youth/Community Services or an equivalent relevant course.
- Current NSW Working with Children’s Check.
- Hold a valid NDIS Worker Check.
- Maintain current certifications in First Aid and CPR.
- Provide a National Police Check issued within the last 12 months.
- Possess a valid Driver’s license along with comprehensive car insurance.
- Completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Exhibit flexibility in your availability, prepared to work a mix of shifts, including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
