The Tax Institute (TTI) represents one of the most important elements of commerce: tax.
Tax builds roads, schools, futures. It protects those in society who need help and makes having a family more affordable. Tax is the engine room of the economy. The Tax Institute has supported and led the tax profession in Australia for 80 years and today, is the leading membership organisation for tax practitioners.
The main objective of this role is to be responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date accounts payable up to trial balance stage for TTI and HEPCO entities (two legal entities). The role is also responsible for maintaining all TTI & HEPCO contracts + their register and ensuring they are up to date.
Key responsibilities:
- All accounts payable records are processed and paid accurately and on time, particularly as it relates to regular statutory payments.
- All finance reporting deadlines are met.
- Contracts are registered in Contracts register and stored in document library on a timely basis
- Provide back up support to Payroll team member (preferred)
Key deliverables
Accounts payable:
- Process all creditor invoices and credit notes in a timely manner, verifying accuracy, approvals and coding in accordance with TTI’s requirements
- Process weekly creditor payments including creditor remittance advices, verifying accuracy, approvals and coding in accordance with TTI’s requirements
- Completion of supplier statement reconciliations
- Update accounts payable invoice register and monitor email inboxes
Banking:
- Reconcile bank account
Month end:
- Process journals
- Administer corporate credit cards
- Assist Finance Manager
Contracts:
- Maintain contract register
