Form of workA&B Butchery are currently looking for a first year apprentice butcher to join our company.
We require a team player that is passionate about joining the meat industry and with a willingness to learn and determined work ethic.
About our Business
- We are a small family owned business located in Toronto Town Square next to Coles
- We currently have 3 staff including the owner Brad.
- We have owned the business since July 2022.
- We are open 6 days a week (closed Sundays)
Duties will involve:
- Upkeep cleanliness of shop both front and back of house
- Learn to cut, trim and shape standard cuts of meat to size
- Prepare sausages, marinated meats, value-added and ready-to-cook dishes
- Learn to pack and store products for display and sale
- Assemble and operate mincers, grinders, mixers, patty-forming or sausage-forming machines
- Conduct product sales and collect payment
- Learn to advise customers about alternative cuts, cooking methods, storage requirements and nutritional aspects of meat.
The successful candidate will:

You will be required to work a 38-hour week (including TAFE training) with reasonable overtime.
