Qualified Butcher and Apprentice Butcher – Full time permanent role

Our Cow was established with a vision to reconnect consumers with their food source. The founders believe in a transparent platform where consumers could have direct access to high-quality, ethically-raised, grass-fed meat products from the farmers who raised them.

Partnering with local farmers who share their commitment to ethical and sustainable farming practices, Our Cow ensures the quality and traceability of its products.

The pay is great and we are looking to hire you on a full time basis (38hrs per week)

We run a subscription meat club, where customers join online and receive a box of meat each month. So you will not be required to stock a window or serve at the counter. 

Your job will be to bone beef, pork and lamb as well as general butcher duties, slicing, operating a bandsaw and working in a team environment. 

We have a great enthusiastic team, we want you to give 110% every day and be a great team player but most of all you’ve got heart, you’ve got passion, you’ve got to want to grow… 

You’d describe yourself as being enthusiastic, a hard worker, optimistic and team player and have a great CAN DO attitude.

The Successful Candidate will be: (Qualified Butcher)

• An industry qualified Butcher who possesses quality butchery skills and value adding talent with high attention to detail
• Portion cutting experience is essential
• Enthusiastic about their profession
• Have excellent communication skills and be a team player
• A positive, can do attitude is key plus a strong work ethic
• Honest, reliable and punctual
