What’s the job?
TheAcademic Administration Officer will provide exceptional service quality, customer-focused academic support and course administration to senior academic staff across all aspects of the student lifecycle with reference to Academic Administration and project delivery. This role will support the academic governance requirements across academic policy, course accreditation and renewal, transition and teach out, course build, timetabling, academic progression and exam committees, data management reporting requirements and core Academic Administration and project delivery functions.
This role involves collaborating with academic leaders, faculty members and other stakeholders to ensure academic quality best practices are implemented and monitored that promote student success and academic achievement. Key stakeholder engagement (both internally and externally) and a solution-based mindset is critical to the success of this role.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
Provide outstanding faculty-wide customer service to senior academic leadership staff across all TUA faculties.
Provide course and subject information to the academic and professional teams as required.
Provide high-quality, accurate and timely processing of all academic services administration processes, complying with external regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. This is a 12 month fixed term role (maternity leave cover) and can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.
Who you are
Relevant diploma, undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Experience in Academic Administration functions, B2B/Third Party area including knowledge of VET and HE regulatory requirements desirable
Demonstrate minimum 2 years' experience within the HE or VET sector is desirable
An understanding of ASQA and TEQSA regulatory compliance requirements as they apply to Academic Administration and associated functions
Strong Communication, problem-solving and reporting skills
Demonstrable high-level computer and software skills, particularly in word processing, spread sheets and using enterprise-wide records management systems
