Your Opportunity
As the Academic, Quality Support Officer you will be responsible for:
- You will focus on establishing, maintaining and supporting quality initatives and responsibilities related to Higher Education academic processes. Academic quality processes include, but are not limited to, responsibilities such as administrative support processes within the Higher Education team. Support for quality academic processes will also be achieved with secretariat duties for Higher Education committees and sub-committees as required. In addition, this role involves conducting specific applied projects in the Higher Education domain as directed by the Dean of Higher Education.
This position reports to the Higher Education Manager.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at South Bank however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the growth and success of Higher Education through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
- Support Higher Education accreditation and quality assurance processes for TAFE Queensland qualifications, including providing advice to academic and professional staff on academic governance policies and procedures.
- Support the development and delivery of service processes to maintain quality Higher Education standards.
- Design and implement quality systems and processes to support internal stakeholders in their quest to deliver quality Higher Education.
- Undertake specific projects and activities to meet quality and regulatory requirements, ensuring that identified outcomes and timelines are met.
- Maintain general knowledge of Higher Education regulation and legislation to inform Quality Support processes, services and standards.
- Secretariat duties for the Higher Education Academic Board and sub-committees.
- Investigative and applied project support for the Dean of Higher Education.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- High level research and analytical skills related to Higher Educaiton Academic Quality processes and outcomes reporting.
- High level organisational skills related to Higher Education academic governance.
- Displays flexibility and responsiveness with the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal, time management and prioritisation skills, including strong verbal and written communication.
- Solutions orientation with a high level attention to detail.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent demonstrated through professional experience.
- Previous experience in the Higher Education sector.
