About the role:
We are looking for an Experienced Accommodation Team Leader to join our team.
As the Accommodation Team Leader, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our SIL homes in the Manningham area to ensure effective service delivery.
This will include participant documentation, weekly/fortnightly stakeholder reporting, monitoring the house, medication and client finances and all aspects of compliance, ensuring it aligns with expectations and legislation.
Additionally, you will guide, oversee, support and mentor house staff and complete buddy shifts with new employees, setting them up to provide the highest quality care. Also whilst liaising with resident families and provides quality person centered support to residents.
Above all, you will provide direct support to our participants ensuring that we deliver on our mission and values.
Your exceptional leadership and people skills with a natural ability to listen, learn, influence and build effective relationships with your team will be key to your success in this full time role.
Our SIL homes have three participants in each, they are supported during the week from 3pm to 9am in the morning and over the weekend full time. The House Supervisor will be required to mentor their support workers so needs to be willing to work at least 3 afternoons and 2 mornings, once a month on a weekend too.
The role is a Full-Time role.
About You
You have experience leading a team of 5+ support workers in a NDIS residential setting.
You have a minimum of certificate IV in Disability or relevant qualifications and extensive and proven experience leading a house in a NDIS residential setting.
With your ability to build rapport with participants, stakeholders, management and employees and strong written and verbal communications skills, you are able to guide support workers in the requirements of their role, provide timely information and support to the team, maintain daily operations of the house and ultimately provide quality support to our participants.
Additionally, you have experience working with behaviours and have the ability to observe triggers and apply de-escalation strategies along with personal care experience.
You have
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience in a similar role, providing leadership to 5+ employees
- A strong understanding of the needs of people living with a disability
- Experience with complex and challenging behaviours is a must.
- Willing to support our customers with personal care and domestic duties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in report writing.
- Capacity to meet physical requirements of the job.
- Current driver’s license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Current NDIS Worker Screen.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Current First aid and CPR Certificates.
- Current Police Check.
- Evidence of Covid vaccination certificate
- Two professional references
