Gallagher’s M&A Insurance Services’ team are trusted advisors to corporates, pension/infrastructure funds, private equity, financial institutions, government, and M&A professional advisors. With a combined 75+ years of team experience, you will get exposure to top tier clients and be supported in your career, working on deals from the M&A phase to the placement and management of the program following transaction close.
The purpose of this role is to support our principal advisors and brokers; taking a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery.
Key accountabilities include:
- Maintaining and developing business relationships with prospective and existing clients;
- Collaboration with your colleagues in identifying opportunities and supporting prospective and existing clients across all phases of the client lifecycle – from the initial due diligence phase to broker appointment and placement of the corporate insurance program;
- Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships with our underwriting partners;
- Identify and describe insurable risks and opportunities, designing appropriate insurance solutions and risk management strategies, and negotiating appropriate risk transfer into the global insurance market;
- Managing systems underpinned by AI, client relationship management systems, and supporting the team’s business plan; and
- Researching target sectors to support the building of a long term pipeline to generate new business growth.
- An organised and efficient mindset, able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously;
- Strong account management experience gained within corporate broking;
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification;
- Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft products (principally Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook), and pro-active approach to learn specific new programs;
- Proven experience in document preparation with high attention to detail;
- Pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery;
- Willingness to learn;
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills; and
- Driven and professional disposition with a willingness to contribute to a team environment.
