THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their Commerical Team who will look after the worldwide recognised brands across the Coatings & Construction Business.
This role offers work-from-home flexibility and occasional trips to the office! You will be highly autonomous, organising your customer visits and managing your portfolio of clients under the guidance of the General Manager.
Some Responsibilities:
- Develop business strategies for key accounts
- Identify opportunities with existing customers and offer a complete package of relevant ingredients and technology to grow your sales
- Service and develop existing customer accounts by coordinating formulation advice with the technical department, providing product information on ingredients, and assisting with any quality issues
- Together with the Sales Director, assist in the preparation of budgets, submissions, and negotiations
- Keep abreast of global trends in the coatings space and grow your customer base
- Ensure that monthly product forecasting is maintained and ensure stock levels of products are appropriate to meet forecast levels of demand
- Coordinate NPD projects with customers and the Technical Department
- Maintain all data in CRM and meet agreed call plan targets
- Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
- Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Quality, Technical, Customer Service, and Logistics
To be shortlisted for this exciting opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering, or a Business degree
- Experience & understanding of specialty ingredients in the resin coatings industry
- Multiple years of experience in a similar Account Management role
- Practical knowledge of coating resin products and their applications is preferable
- Demonstrated interest in the global trends for resin coatings ingredients and NPD project management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams and participate in knowledge sharing
- Strong experience with product costing, preparation of quotes, and setting of sales budgets
- You must be available to travel and have a valid driver’s license
