About the Role.

Joining the team located in our Melbourne MEQ headquarters, candidates can be based locally, or remotely in the Eastern States. Reporting to the ANZ Sales Manager, this role suits an experienced Account Manager passionate about driving revenue growth and building long lasting relationships in the red meat industry. As part of the Sales Team, this role manages existing accounts with key clients and continues to improve the commercial value for clients through the use of our industry first products.

Centred on advancing market penetration, the key remit includes deepening relationships, contract negotiation, closing deals and identifying new opportunities. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing tailored solutions;
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on industry best practices and emerging trends;
  • Creating and managing end-to-end regular customer business reviews to manage customer relationships, product performance and review opportunities;
  • Providing education to clients on the effective use of our products, services and data analysis;
  • Continuously reviewing client data as potential new revenue opportunities;
  • Conducting product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings;
  • Acquiring new clients and leveraging existing client relationships to meet and exceed sales and growth targets;
  • Prospecting, selling, objection handling, educating and negotiating with clients and potential clients as required;
  • Developing sales proposals based on client needs and site evaluations;
  • Travelling interstate and intrastate to client sites, partner and industry meetings to build relationships and leverage opportunities;
  • Supporting the ANZ Sales Manager with ad hoc tasks and key business projects.

About You.

The ideal candidate would have the following essential skills and experience:

  • 5 - 7 years of proven success in meeting sales targets and the ability to negotiate in a timely and ethical way with a long-term focus.
  • Proven success selling technical products requiring a focus on data capture and analytics.
  • A focus on achieving and exceeding targets to drive revenue growth.
  • A track record in growing accounts and developing new business opportunities, contract management and negotiation skills.
  • A deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies and best practices.
  • This includes prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, closing deals, and account management.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (such as HubSpot) to manage customer interactions, track leads and monitor sales performance is preferred.
  • Understanding of data analytics and how to analyse customer data to identify trends/patterns/insights.
  • Experience acting as a conduit to the product/engineering team is preferred but not essential.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
